IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde backs Greece's request for two more years to meet its fiscal targets. "This is what we advocated for Portugal...for Spain, and it's what we're advocating for Greece," Lagarde says at the fund's annual meeting. The IMF also reportedly wants Greek debt held by eurozone governments to be written down.

The fiscal targets are as fraudulent as the debt ,the currency and the entire polity of not just Greece but the entire EU periphery, France and now parts of the EU core. The sole purpose of these "targets" is to prolong theft from the Northern European middle class.
Greece descends into the Argentine valley of currency, debt and economic darkness even as Argentina plunges into the abyss that is Iran's rapidly debasing currency and imploding capacity to create real long term wealth for the great majority of its citizens.
