Tensions between EDF and Constellation Energy (CEG) have reached a new high after Constellation abandoned its application for a federal loan guarantee, effectively killing its plan to build a nuclear reactor in Maryland. The decision has disappointed partner EDF, and surprised federal officials who are now urging Constellation to reconsider.
