Turkey and Syria produce little oil, but their escalating conflict could threaten a Turkish oil-export terminal and port and its accompanying pipeline. BP leads a consortium of oil companies operating in Azerbaijan’s Caspian Sea fields, and uses the pipeline to get that oil out; analysts estimate crude exports from the port at ~1M bbl/day.
