After years of declining shipbuilding profits, Northrop Grumman (NOC) may draw bids topping $2.5B for its unit from Bain Capital, Carlyle Group, KKR and TPG Capital. Northrop, the biggest maker of U.S. Navy vessels, announced its intent to wind down the operation this summer. (previously: I, II)
