Azerbaijan's energy minister attempts to ease concerns after last week's threats against BP (BP -0.6%) and other western oil companies operating in the country. Pres. Ilham Aliyev had blamed BP for declining output at the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli fields it operates with Exxon (XOM), Chevron (CVX) and Statoil (STO) and contains ~9.5B barrels of oil.
