Samsung (SSNLF.PK) is now manufacturing chips for Qualcomm (QCOM) and Nvidia (NVDA), a company official tells the Korea Times. Both companies have been rumored (I, II) to be exploring partnerships with Samsung, as main foundry partner TSMC (TSM) struggles with supply issues for its cutting-edge 28nm manufacturing process. The exec also confirms Samsung's foundry relationship with Apple (like its memory supply relationship) is on the skids - TSMC is expected to eventually benefit.
