The EU is giving Google (GOOG) 4 months to amend its privacy policy or face disciplinary action: among other things, regulators are worried about how Google integrates anonymous browsing data across services to better target ads, and have recommended 12 changes. A January privacy policy change from Google related to linking data between services initially triggered a strong backlash, but (as with many privacy issues) the furor eventually died down. (FTC antitrust probe)
