Airgas (ARG +1.3%) again tells Air Products and Chemicals (APD -0.2%) that its offer of $65.50/share was “grossly inadequate.” Pointing to Q2 performance as well as “outstanding prospects and unique industry position,” Airgas board says in its letter that the price tag should be “in excess of $70/share" - interesting, since three of 10 board members were put there by Air Products and may have since "gone native."
