Cablevision (CVC +1.4%) offers to pay Fox (NWS -0.8%) for one year the same carriage rate that Time Warner Cable (TWX) pays - "higher than the rate we pay any other New York broadcast station" - in an effort to break the stalemate affecting New York and Philly affiliates. Fox has "lost the PR war," Dashiell Bennett believes, and they'll get the blame if customers can't watch the World Series.
