Local Corp. (LOCM) is selling its Rovion rich-media ad tech unit to Gannett (GCI) for $3.9M. Rovion's Ad Composer platform allows multimedia ads to be developed without coding ability. Gannett has been stepping up its tech M&A activity: the media conglomerate recently bought loyalty card app developer Mobestream Media and Facebook marketing firm BLiNQ Media.
