General Motors (GM) pushes the pedal to the metal in Brazil with seven new vehicles going on sale this year across different categories. The aim is to turn around the automaker's fortunes in South America where a profitable 2010 turned the other direction in 2011. To that end, relocating operations to lower-cost regions in the nation and managing the tricky currency conversion are in focus.

  • I know the Obama administration has subsidized drilling for oil in Brazilian waters, presumably to help the Brazilians. Now Government Motors "pushes the pedal to the metal in Brazil..."

Makes one wonder if Obama really wants to "bring back manufacturing jobs to America."

Now in his defense, "America" probably meant "South America."

And you have to admit, from a social-justice perspective, having the rich North Americans subsidize the poor South Americans represents the height of fairness.

    Forward!
