Zynga (ZNGA) is cutting 5% of its workforce (likely around ~140 employees), Mark Pincus discloses in a company memo - that backs up an earlier report. Pincus also says Zynga is "sunsetting" 13 older titles; is cutting back on data center and ad spending; and is "significantly reducing" its investment in The Ville, currently the subject of an Electronic Arts lawsuit. Shares +3.6% AH, boosted by Facebook's report. Zynga's own Q3 results arrive tomorrow. Update: TechCrunch reports the Boston office has been shut down and 2/3 of Austin employees laid off, including many working on The Ville and Bingo.
