    They don't need to defend themselves. They have disclaimers on their can, they make it clear that if you have any sort of health abnormalities than you should consult a doctor and/or avoid use. Sell off is way over done.

    sure they have disclaimers, so they may have no liability for the deaths, but perhaps less people will buy their drinks going forward if their customers think that drinking the beverage may kill them.

    I promise you that the people who are going to stop consuming the beverage for fear that it might kill them, are not the people buying 1-2 cans a day. Sure, I'll give you that maybe next quarter sales may dip briefly, but one everything washes over they will re-emerge. Without sounding too callous, this is nothing more than a lawsuit that is looking to be settled out of court. The company is not at fault, period.
