At a Senate hearing later today, lawmakers are expected to take a sharply critical view of the mortgage securitization process and foreclosure-documentation practices, while the securitization industry insists the practice is both fair and legal.

    The securitization industry will change their tune the second the government,(Fannie and Freddie) stop buying mortgage backed securities. The reason is simply because only then will they have to design a better mousetrap for investors. This defines the moral hazard that got us where we are today.
