Amazon (AMZN +1.1%) is launching a new studio website to connect wannabe filmakers with the big screen. This move, in partnership with Time Warner (TWX), moves Amazon from just streaming content to making it. Rivals Google TV (GOOG) and Apple TV (AAPL) are struggling to get original programming.
