Gazprom reveals plans to spend 1.2T rubles ($38.4B) launching the Chayanda gas field in east Siberia and pipeline to Vladivostok at Russia's Pacific coast by the end of 2017. Russian Pres. Putin says that developing Chayanda, which holds ~1.3T cubic meters of gas and another giant field, Kovytka, is the next stage of Russia's eastern gas program.

    I can see Gazprom looking to sell to China; I have trouble understanding the invest wisdom in a line to (little Russia), Serbia.
