This is painful not being able to see how the stock trades in reaction to the news.

    I hope you are safe.

Pretty good quarter in an environment where most companies are missing revenue estimates.

HLF mgmt is notoriously conservative on forward guidance, so 2013 should really be $4.70 vs. their $4.40-$4.55 guidance. With a 13.5x P/E, HLF should be in the $63-64 by June which is a 25% return.

Big short interest which is a catalyst for an upmove. Given Einhorn hasn't said anything about HLF, this cloud should dissipate over the next few quarters. If Einhorn had anything substantial, he would have surely outlined his bear thesis at the last investor conference - he has always been vocal in sharing his short arguments.

Hopefully the market will be open soon enough for this news to make any meaningful impact.

This should put the chicken-little doomsayers at ease. Herbalife continues to report huge revenue and EPS growth numbers. Dividend continues to grow at an explosive rate. A company with these kinds of growth numbers, with emerging market exposure, should command more like an 18-20x P/E, and it's currently at 13.6. That puts the share price between $67-75 in my opinion, if it were to be fairly valued.

I keep getting punished for believing in this piece of junk. I've lost so much trying to play this name, yet I keep coming back. Like a battered housewife.

The 5% drop today was on average volume and no news. My guess is that shorts are having their way with the stock. No worries as eventually the stock will be driven by fundamentals.

I would expect to see the stock in the low 60s within a year using a 13x P/E on $4.70 2013 EPS. I took advantage of the drop today and sold some Nov monthly $42.50 puts for $0.70 (now even a better deal at $0.85).
