Talisman Energy (TLM) CEO Hal Kvisle indicates possible asset sales in the North Sea and other core regions as a $443M after-tax impairment charge led to a $731M Q3 loss vs. a $521M Y/Y profit. The charge is attributed to TLM’s impending exit from Peru, a ban on shale drilling in Quebec and ongoing uncertainty at the Yme project off Norway where costs have ballooned. TLM -1.3% in Toronto.
