Disney (DIS -2.5%) CEO Robert Iger says (video) the mega-deal to buy Lucasfilm will be slightly dilutive for two years after the closing and then turn accretive after that point. The exec also notes the consumer product and licensing opportunities from the transaction is close what Marvel Entertainment offered up at the point of purchase, but highlights the Lucasfilm buy includes digital properties. After a rush of gushing analysts weighed in on the deal, shares have peeled off early gains rather quickly.

One can only hope that they somehow change Episode IV: A New Hope back to its original form. Guido did not shoot first as everyone knows and George Lucas ruined the "classic" by rewriting history.
Glad to see the franchise out of Lucas' control. Maybe now Disney can make some exciting films again because the last three were awful unless you were under the age of 10 at the time and your brain is full of bantha fodder.

I think the fact that people are selling just because its dilutive for a couple years is ridiculous, great time to get in now down 2% because the growth potential is worth 10x that.
