Groupon turned down a rumored $6B purchase by Google (GOOG) because its board was concerned about anti-trust scrutiny, and that the deal might not have passed muster with regulators in the end, Business Insider says. Groupon’s board demanded a "significant" break-up fee from Google, according to the report, and Google declined.
