Phillips 66's (PSX) 238K bbl/day Bayway refinery in New Jersey could be shut for weeks due to heavy damage caused by salt water flooding, sources tell Reuters. PSX has said only that it will make a decision on when to reopen "once all assessments are complete." Hess (HES) also has given no indication of when its neighboring 70K bbl/day refinery and terminal in Port Reading might resume service.

Good time to buy is during the dips if you've been waiting this is probably a good time. Short term problem will depress the share price, and it will bounce when it re-opens.

HES is the gas station of choice for many of the long islanders in Suffolk County. Within the last two days I've seen the same station sold out of gas each day and when it's not sold out there is a line 40 or 50 cars deep along the highway. No other gas station, not Mobil, Gulf or any no name brand even compares. Many people prefer Hess over its rivals because of the many branded stations refuse to charge different prices for cash and credit.
