Life Technologies (LIFE -0.3%) says it's acquired Advanced Microscopy Group, a privately held developer of imaging systems for research microscopy. Advanced Microscopy is the manufacturer of the FLoid Cell Imaging Station currently sold by LIFE, and the purchase enables LIFE to expand its product line of cell imaging instrumentation, while leveraging its portfolio of fluorescent dyes and reagents.
