Nike (NE) is reportedly close to an agreement to sell its Cole Haan fashion brand to Apax Partners for $500M, with an announcement possible next week. A deal would follow an agreement in October for Nike to sell Umbro to the Iconix Brand Group for $225M as it looks to focus on its core Nike business; it would also add to a series of other transactions in the footwear industry in the past year.
