Barnes & Noble (BKS) is claiming that not only is the Nook eReader its best-selling product ever, it also drove its strong holiday results. The device, which emulates some iPad (AAPL) features, may let it hold its own against the Kindle (AMZN), and take some market share from Borders (BGP). Barnes & Noble is +8%.

If BKS goes under (short ratio 19+) what happens to the NOOK? That's an incentive not to buy it.

Got my wife a Nook for Christmas - she loves it! I don't own any $BKS stock, however...not that I'm against it, I just don't.
