The period of time during which a protest against Liberty Media's (LMCA -3.2%) planned acquisition of Sirius XM Radio (SIRI -3.7%) could be filed with regulators passes with only one objection actually recorded. Barring any problems with the FCC, the long-awaited takeover could be official in a matter of weeks. With that hurdle cleared, next on tap will be finding a CEO ready to take on the next chapter of Sirius.

  • More to do with the election than anything. The street will get over it in short order and move on.

  • It only dropped .07. Where are you seeing .10? SIRI will bounce back quickly but this time of year, especially after a major election is often very volatile.

  • MM's are always screwing around with stock prices. If you notice the large "buy" spikes while the SP was down, Looks like they were letting someone get in on the cheap by holding the price down. But, look at the 2 year chart, and see that we are still on the upswing. When a stock has risen that much in a few months, a 10 (or 20) cent drop is not a cause to fear. All systems are go for SIRI. Just make sure your on board....the price is STILL CHEAP!!
Another point, why is the Pandora share price so dam high when they are losing money every day?? Not to worry...what goes around comes around....this time next year, we could be seeing pandora's share price......if not more!!!

  • I read the article about the difference in P&Siri's share price. It was a hit piece and what he failed to mention was the share count. As one person said was something to the effect. "If pandora only had one share issued the stock would be 8 billion so what's the point" I refuse to believe the writer could be that ignorant so I have to assume it was an intentional hit piece.
