The quick analyst take on J.C. Penney's (JCP) Q3 results (I, II) can be summed up in three words: Are you kidding? A shocking 37% drop in online sales in a sector where a double-digit Internet growth pace is the norm seems to be the result drawing the most contempt. After crunching the numbers, NBG's Brian Sozzi thinks if the results go on for much longer the company will have to either go private or raise money to survive. Look for a lively Q&A on the retailer's conference call scheduled for later this morning. (webcast)

JC Penny web site just like Sears is very hard to manuver through, when the order processes you get notification but that is all, the tracking of the package is non exitstent. If they want to be like Amazon then they both need to step up to the plate. I use all three.

JCPs website didnt change, just the merchandise did.

obviously RJ is a total loss as a CEO.

I just wonder why he hasnt been fired?

With the long term loyal penneys customers forced to shop elsewhere its likely that even if store management changed and went back to pre ron sales wouldnt recover. since the once loyal customers have now test shopped all those other stores.....

RIP JCPenney you were a good place to shop till RJ & ackman killed you....

Saw on another post here that Johnson hired his next door neighbor to run the internet sales. Is it any wonder sales are so dismal with RJ and his buddy at the helm?
