If Apple (AAPL +0.4%) stock maintains the same booming growth rate of the past 18 months, it will hit $500/share by Oct. 2011, and $1K/share by Feb. 2013, says Brett Arends. "In Through the Looking-Glass, Lewis Carroll's White Queen was able to imagine 6 impossible things before breakfast. Let's content ourselves with 1: Apple $1K."

If Steve Jobs dies...the game is up. Even if earnings continue to grow, the P/E still compress as traders expect the company to decline over time once they no longer have the creative genius that brought them back from near bankruptcy.

Apple stock will dip below $300 before it hits $400. It is just too over priced right now.
