Energy Transfer Partners (ETP) is raised to Buy at BofA after last month's close of its acquisition of Sunoco. ETP has been a longtime laggard on a total return with a stagnant distribution for 17 straight quarters, but the firm thinks ETP now deserves better, and fundamentals and unit price performance can improve on an absolute and relative basis.

    what's good for ETP ought to be very good for ETE, the general partner, but for some reason B of A Merrill Lynch doesn't appear to follow ETE.

    ETE is up 30% and I keep adding to ETP at lower and lower price levels.....
