A "grand bargain" would be necessary to stabilize the U.S. credit rating, S&P's John Chambers tells the WSJ, but a trigger of the fiscal cliff wouldn't automatically lead to a downgrade. The U.S. can't grow its way out of its fiscal problems, he adds, apparently getting behind the idea of higher taxes.
