While the main  commercial-aircraft battle is between Boeing (BA) and Airbus, China has begun to stake its territory, with COMAC announcing 50 new orders for its 150-seat C919 jet. So far, the only confirmed foreign buyer is GE unit GECAS, although Ryanair and British Airways have signed tentative purchase agreements.
