Volkswagen (VLKAY.PK) says it sold two cars in China this year to date for every one it sold in Western Europe outside of Germany. Though it's no real surprise with demand on the two continents going in different directions, the stat still highlights quite dramatically how global automakers need to manage costs in Europe while looking to emerging markets such as China, Brazil, and India for unfettered growth.
