Solar stocks close with big losses (TAN -4.3%) on a bad day for high-beta tech firms not named Facebook. Trina (TSL -18.3%) is now down 27% since slashing guidance on Monday morning. STP -11.9%. LDK -7.5%. SPWR -6.7%. CSIQ -9.2%. (LDK deal termination)

    Well it looks like the Chinese and Koreans will be the major players in Solar all the rush to natural gas but in the long run an energy source that that will not last. We just have to commit funding in that direction but I doubt if we will do it here in the US oils and gas have received the lions shares of government dollars while alternative has gotten pennies. The technology is here with a Mars prob going out over 10 yrs with solar and batteries still running it would seem that putting solar panels on each house and feed it back to a updated grid system maybe and answer that will happen somewhere other than the US.
