A second major SandRidge Energy (SD +5.6%) investor calls for the company to replace CEO Tom Ward and overhaul its board. Mount Kellett Capital, which owns ~4.5% of SD’s shares, says SD "has great assets and should be a great company, but it is clear that it will not be without changes at the top." Shares have been volatile since TPG-Axon criticized SD last week.

I have been trying to make the case for a year that Tom Ward is not the leader needed to run SD and the board of directors have failed to do their job. They have lined their pockets and Wards at the expense of the shareholders. The sooner changes are made to SD's board, management and governance, the better.

There is something about small to mid sized oil/gas company CEOs in the Texas/OKC area that they feel they are anointed at birth to be the wealthiest in the world. For the few you could say that have achieved that mark, late in life they give billions away to always be remembered and shut up the people they screwed.

But that is capitalism which I support strongly, history of oil executives makes me very cautious going forward in terms of investing in the industry.
