Dell (DELL +0.6%) CEO Michael Dell has the last laugh on Hewlett-Packard (HPQ -0.3%), claiming it paid too much for 3Par - $2.35B. Dell "showed a good discipline" in bowing out of the bidding - then buying Compellent (CML). Dell wants more deals "in software, data centers, cloud computing, storage and virtualization."

    What if:
    1) dell kept matching until hp bit the big one ;)
    2) how many shares did dell put to hp on their exorbitant offer ;)
    3) dell is grossly undervalued and might get taken out at around 27 bucks. Michael should really be laughing, all the way to the bank
    4) M would really extract revenge from the shorters and detractors if he takes it private!
