A Nasdaq tumble (-1.9%) is followed by a turndown in stock indexes (Dow -0.9%, S&P 500 -1.2%) as the VIX spikes. Shares have turned lower across the board, but consumer cyclicals are taking it on the chin as a sell-off of Ford (F -12.7%) continues. Automotive components maker BorgWarner (BWA) down 2.2%.
