"Agrium's shareholders have overwhelmingly rejected Jana's ideas" and a "breakup of Agrium will destroy value rather than create it," Agrium (AGU +3.4%) management says in response to Jana Partners' plan to run its own slate of nominees for election to AGU's board. Shareholders "invest in Agrium in part because they want exposure to retail and the advantages of our integrated model."
