Chrysler (FIATY.PK) will unveil its first battery-powered car at the L.A. Auto Show next week, although the automaker isn't expecting it to make a big splash. Due to strict rules in the state of California, Chrysler was all but forced to create the Fiat 500e EV model. Though CEO Sergio Machionne hasn't been shy about warning the car will be unprofitable and the debut will be muted, the move still puts Chrysler in compliance in a state that accounts for 10% of all U.S. sales.
