Samsung's (SSNLF.PK) oversized Galaxy Note II appears to be at least as popular as its predecessor: channel sales of the 5.5" device have topped 5M less than 4 weeks after Samsung announced they had crossed 3M. The original Note produced 10M+ unit sales. Samsung's ability to hit high-end and low-end segments Apple has chosen not to target (either for margin or user experience reasons) is a big reason why its smartphone unit share is now in a league of its own.
