If there was any doubt Google (GOOG) wants to be a serious rival to Amazon, Microsoft, and Rackspace in the cloud infrastructure market, it removed them with today's announcements. 36 new computing instance types and new backup and long-term storage options have been introduced, and prices have been slashed for both computing and storage services. Google, which entered the market in June, is looking to undercut Amazon (the undisputed leader), which has been pretty aggressive with its own pricing.

What kind of cloud infrastructure pricing do Microsoft and Rackspace offer in relative comparison to Amazon and Google's proposition?
