Amazon (AMZN) announces Cyber Monday was the biggest day in its history for global sales of Kindle devices. With attractive pricing the stellar sales day wasn't wholly unexpected, but generating profits from consumers through Kindle usage is still the ultimate goal. The tablet stat to watch: Kindle purchases accounted for only 2.4% of purchases on Black Friday vs. 3.1% for Nook and a formidable 88.3% for iPads.

Low volume amazing considering they ran a $129 special on the Kindle Fire. Well, not too amazing as it is rated 1,2 or 3 stars on the AMZN site by 40% of the raters. (You have to scroll very far down on the page to find ratings)
What is surprising is stats showing sales volume smaller than the Nook.
