The IEA says the world will need all of Canada’s oil, even if production from its oil sands triples by 2035. Worries have been voiced that increased U.S. output would choke the $100B/year energy trade between the two nations, leaving much Canadian crude with nowhere to go. Even if U.S. output rises as much as IEA expects, it would still need to import 4M bbl/day, and Canada is an obvious supplier.
