Air traffic will hit 1B passengers/year in 2021, FAA says in its annual report, two years earlier than expected. Growth will average 3.7%/year over the next five years as the recovery gathers speed and unemployment declines more rapidly than previously thought, FAA says - predicting the industry has successfully morphed from "a boom-to-bust cycle to one of sustainable profits."
