BP (BP -0.4%) says the EPA is preparing an agreement that would lift the temporary ban on awarding new federal contracts to the company. "The EPA notified BP that such a draft agreement would be available soon," BP says in a statement, adding that it has demonstrated its responsibility with the $4.5B plea agreement recently settled with the DOJ and SEC.

    WOW!! Punished and forgiven in ONE day.!!! I think the shorts had something to do with this! Didn't work out real well!--At lease until tomorrow. --- I love the short term market.
