Heard on Barnes & Noble's (BKS -11.2%) earnings call: 1) Execs say market share in digital was maintained or grew a tad. In the U.K., the company is a solidly in second place. 2) The firm's College business is a focus with plans to pick up the pace it adds schools. 3) The Nook segment contribution to EBITDA is significant with margins growing or holding steady along with sales. 4) On the Microsoft investment, execs say they feel comfortable with current plans but don't tip off any details. 5) A year after Borders faded into oblivion, BKS notes it still sees a lift from the narrowed market.
