As expected, Chile hikes interest rates 25 basis points to 3.5%, trying to counter inflation that is creeping towards, but has not yet surpassed the central bank target rate of 3%. Higher rates and an attempted devaluation have hurt the Chile ETF (ECH), down nearly 12% YTD.
