Intel (INTC -2.1%) is trading lower after Citi and Goldman slash their estimates. Goldman, reiterating a Sell, thinks Intel's gross margin will probably drop in the coming quarters due to high inventories and declining ASPs. Meanwhile, AMD (AMD +7.4%) is rallying for the second day in a row after announcing plans to sell and lease back its Austin campus, though shares remain down sharply on the year. 27.9% of AMD's float was shorted as of Nov. 15.

Whatever. Drive INTC to $10. Or $5. Or heck, $1!

I did warn of wait till Intel gets the AMD treatment.
Downgrades always come when the "xxx has already hit the fan".

Why don't they downgrade when the stock was at $29 ?

Because they were trying to sell the stock at $29. Now they're trying to buy it.

Still, it's hard to argue with basic supply and demand. Everything becomes a commodity in that scenario, even high-end processors.

Truly wacky. AMD having sold off its fabs now starts selling off their office space in a desperate bid to raise cash, and they go up?

Intel needs to announce its selling off a couple campuses and it'll be in the high $20s.

Each time INTC appears it may be putting in base it is hit by a new rumor or downgrade.

What is scariest about INTC stock performance is how much it has dropped in the face of a pretty strong broad market.
