People gotta eat. And in today's red tide, food companies are holding up better than most. Hormel (HRL +2.2%) reported strong earnings, and General Mills (GS +1.7%) reaffirmed its 2011 outlook. Also on the plus side: HSY +1.9%, KFT +1.8%, TSN +0.4%, K +0.2%, HNZ +0.1%. But food commodity prices, while high, are broadly lower today.
