Toyota (TM) is offering retirement incentives to ~2,000 U.S. workers, or 10% of its U.S. employees, in an effort to manage workforce attrition. It's also a sign the Japanese auto maker is adopting some of the same cost-saving measures its Detroit rivals have implemented in recent years, as veteran auto workers typically earn ~$26/hour vs. starting pay of ~$16/hour.
