H-P (HPQ) sues Taiwan's Chunghwa Picture Tubes and its subsidiary Tatung Company of America for causing over $1B in damages by overcharging the U.S. company for LCD screens in an alleged price-fixing scam from 1998-2006. Like other screen makers, Chunghwa has been in trouble with European and U.S. authorities for its practices, agreeing to pay the DOJ $65M in fines in 2008.
