Time Warner Cable (TWC) warns media companies it will slash channels with ratings not high enough to justify hefty fees. The issue over carriage fees is getting ramped up as cable and satellite concerns edge toward a more selective process in negotiations over prices. After seeing programming costs rise at double the pace of cable prices, more standoffs could be in the works.
